taking care of our teens
As you know so well, being a teenager these days certainly has its challenges. Between relationships, current issues, social pressure, self-identity, school, streams of media, climate change, and beyond, teens are asked to navigate the multitudes of life all at once. Inward Bound Mindfulness offers young people the opportunity to take pause and take notice of their inner and outer worlds through our mindfulness retreats and resources.

Inward Bound's mindfulness retreats give teens a window for uninterrupted, genuine insight into their life experience. Across six days of retreat, teens become reacquainted with their innate wisdom and inner spark. Through curiosity, they strengthen their powers of perception and their capacity to understand their emotions and thoughts. The mindfulness practices they learn transform into key skills that are valuable in the moment and for a lifetime.

caring, diverse teachers & staff
Inward Bound retreats and programs are led by awesome adults with years of experience serving and working with teens and young adults, alongside their own longstanding mindfulness practices. Our diverse faculty and staff walk their talk in their professional and personal lives, and devote themselves to creating a truly unique and safe container for all to be welcomed, be real, and be accepted — and have some fun.

Equitable access is fundamental to our mission. We work to ensure that no teens are barred from the opportunity to attend our programs due to the systemic injustices that have left many groups economically vulnerable. For mindfulness retreats, tuition is offered via a sliding scale approach to accommodate a wide range of household incomes. We also offer scholarship support and payment plan options.
