Weekly "drop-in" sessions are led by Inward Bound and UCLA Mindful's Diana Winston, Marvin G. Belzer Ph.D, and other affiliated teachers. Open to anyone interested in learning how to 'live more presently' in life.


Mindful awareness is the moment-by-moment process of actively and openly observing one's physical, mental and emotional experiences. Mindfulness has scientific support as a means to reduce stress, improve attention, boost the immune system, reduce emotional reactivity, and promote a general sense of health and well-being.

The Contemplative Semester is a 14-week residential immersion into the depths of the human experience. Drawing from Buddhist wisdom and meditation practice as the foundation, you’ll have the chance to deeply connect with yourself, a community of shared values, and the living earth as you explore your unique path to greater peace, love, joy and purpose.
