Generations Retreat uses Mindfulness as a foundation for fostering an inter-generational community. Teens and young adults are paired with an elder of their choice and vice versa to build this unique inter-generational experience. The retreat is small by design allowing for an intimate community of 12 pairs, 24 people plus 4 teacher facilitators.Participants spend a weekend deepening communication, relations and bonds between youth and their chosen elders. Using relational mindfulness practices honed from the retreats of Inward Bound Mindfulness, Spirit Rock and IMS, as well as years of using Mindfulness Based Therapy and Mindfulness in Education, this retreat builds and deepens practice co-joined with creativity and play. Leave the retreat with a supportive community partner and an ally for planting seeds of Mindfulness relations wherever we live.
