the reconnected generation
With the escalating teen mental health crisis highlighted in Jonathan Haidt’s The Anxious Generation, our mindfulness retreats are more vital than ever.
Help us raise scholarship funds, so every teen can access these life-changing experiences.

teens need safe places to thrive
In The Anxious Generation, Haidt’s research confirms that the increased use of smartphones and social media has led to skyrocketing rates of depression, anxiety, and self-harm among teens. Screens have replaced in-person interactions and unstructured play to the overwhelming detriment of young people’s mental health.
Haidt says, “They’re so lonely compared to any previous generation, and they need more time talking and touching and playing physical games — but they can’t, because everyone is on their phones.”
So how do we nurture reconnection?
